Refund policy

Coffee
Coffee is a perishable product and ours is roasted to order, so we're unable to accept returns on coffee. However, if there was an error with your order or you’re not satisfied with your coffee, contact us via sales@generalmerchants.co.uk within 14 days of purchase. 

We'll then be in touch to troubleshoot the issue.

Hardware

If you have an issue with or are unsatisfied with your order, then you have 28 days from the date you received your goods to contact us. Simply email us at sales@generalmerchants.co.uk with a brief description of the issue & product.

Once your email has been received, we will then be in touch to arrange the appropriate actions. This could be the delivery of a replacement item and organising the original item’s return or a refund (minus the delivery cost).

You are responsible for returning unwanted items to us & we recommend using an insured service from your local postal service. Returned items must be in their original condition in order to qualify for a refund (minus the delivery cost) or like for like exchange. Returned items must be unused and in the relevant packaging where ever possible.

Please also note that we can only accept purchases made directly from generalmerchants.coffee. If you’ve purchased a product from one of our cafes, East, Ormeau, Antrim Road, 5A or our kiosk, please reach out to them directly to arrange a return.

Faulty Goods

On the rare occasion, hardware product faults can occur. If you think the piece of hardware you’ve purchased has/have suffered a manufacturing fault, please contact us at sales@generalmerchants.co.uk

Items that are damaged due to excessive or long term usage are not considered faulty.
